GRAVOS

Gravos is the largest province of Hollandos, spanning from the Turqoi Ocean to the rigid Bolt Sea. It’s a hotspot for minerals, rocks, and gems, with countless mines for extraction.

The inhabitants are often described as hard workers, never taking the time to rest. The province is responsible for automation, inventing railroads, carts, special tools, and much more, with most of these innovations entering Hollandos via Domcross.

Traditions

  • Black Cross - This enormous music festival is held once a year in the city of Kristalos. Held in the second week of July, it lasts for four days and takes place in the muddy fields around the black crystal, that is shaped like a cross. This crystal stands in the north-west corner of Kristalos and stands about twenty meters tall. The whole crystal features cracks, holes and tunnels, which vibrates the music that is played around it. This causes the music to reach through the entire city. The festival has markets, stands, events and much more. Musicians from all over Gravos gather here and show off their new music. Between the music performances, people also race in a circle around the cross with their own wagons and carts. Often resulting in a great spectacle.

  • Kermesse - This travelling festival is a collection of games, stands and attractions. This spectacle is seen as a Hollandos tradition and is also funded by the crown. Entire families, groups of friends and other people gather here to have a unforgettable evening. They travel all year round, going from village to village in six provinces. Originally only found in Vulkos, it quickly expanded to Amstos, Herros, Poldos, Gravos and Zeelos. It stays for one week in every village they visit, being quickly able to build up and break down their entire festival.
