King Viktor I Kroon the settler
Viktor I Kroon, also known as The Settler and the Herringshark Captain, was the first King of Hollandos, being blessed by the Seven Stars. He was responsible for the creation of the first six provinces: Herros, Amstos, Poldos, Gravos, Zeelos, and Friesos.

King Philip I Kroon the explorer
Philip I Kroon, also known as The Explorer and the Old King, was the second King of Hollandos, being blessed by the Seven Stars. He was responsible for the creation of the Veluwos province, and later on, the Stuppos province. Philip was the first king to meet people who originated in Hollandos. Unlike his grandfather Viktor, he was also known for his cold behaviour, and eagerness to gain power.

King Willem I Kroon the warmonger
Willem I Kroon, also known as The Killer King, was the third King of Hollandos, being blessed by the Seven Stars in the year 111 AS. His blessing only lasted for a single week, after which he was disowned by the Seven Stars. The citizens of Hollandos despised him, yet he kept the crown. He was responsible for the torture and killing of thousands of Volkaanian people. Only after Isa Magma killed him in his sleep, his reign of terror ended.

Queen Juliana I Kroon the negotiator
Juliana I Kroon, also known as The Negotiator, was the first Queen of Hollandos. She was responsible for uniting the nine provinces after her father and brother let their bonds wither away. She also shared a very close bond with her daughter, Kenau, who was the first person in Hollandos to possess magical powers.

Queen Kenau I Kroon the lightbringer
Kenau I Kroon, also known as The Lightbringer, was the second Queen of Hollandos after her mother voluntarily gave her the Starcrown. Kenau shaped Hollandos forever by creating the First Starfall and the Starfall Academy, and by bringing magic into this world via the sacred Seven Stars. She is seen as the most influential ruler in the entire history of Hollandos.

King Viktor II Kroon the brave
Viktor II Kroon, also known as The Brave, was the fourth King of Hollandos after his mother died opening the portal to the Outside World. He was responsible for building cathedrals across Hollandos, and he fought bravely against his brother Alexander in the Outsider Uprising, eventually being killed by him in the Battle of the Crown Shores.

King Alexander I Kroon the crownbreaker
Alexander I Kroon, also known as The Crownbreaker, was the fifth King of Hollandos, the seventh ruler of Hollandos, and the first to wear the Starcrown without a blessing. After his mother Kenau died opening a portal to the Outside World, he entered by sneaking past the protecting wizards and met with General Bernhard Zorrega, who led a giant army. Together, they made a plan to take over Hollandos. Alexander would overthrow his brother, and Bernhard would be showered with riches. Both of them and an army of Outsiders entered Hollandos and brought war upon it.
He killed his brother King Viktor II Kroon at the Battle of the Crown Shores, before forcing the Starcrown on his head and naming himself king and conquering several provinces. During his reign, he loved Emma Zorrega, daughter of Bernhard. Bernhard threatened he would leave with his daughter if Alexander didn’t pay up. Alexander threatened him in return. On the day of Liberation, when Alexander was cornered inside the capital and wanted to make an example to the Hollandosan people, he was killed by Bernhard for not upholding his promises.

Queen Emma I Zorrega the outsider
Emma I Zorrega, also known as The Outsider or The Connector, was the eighth ruler of Hollandos, and only the second one to be born outside Hollandos, after King Viktor I Kroon. Her father Bernhard met with Alexander Kroon, who came from the portal. She joined them to gain more knowledge of the world, but was soon stuck in a raging war, and a man who kept her as prisoner, Alexander.
When Alexander was killed by Bernhard, Emma had to step up and killed her father too. She was given the Starcrown by Constantine Kroon, and became the eighth Queen of Hollandos. Her reign was marked by a time of peace and prosperity. She made Drumos and Lillios the eleventh and twelfth province, she explored what was east and south of Hollandos, and she brought the people of Hollandos and the Outside together.

King Frederick I Kroon the lacking
Frederick I Kroon, also known as The Lacking or The Lazy, was the ninth ruler of Hollandos. His reign was characterizes by his heavy drinking, love for entertainment and sport, and lack of ruling. He allowed everything his mother had built up to be watered away, replaced by provincial leaders who began making their own choices, which often were not beneficial to the entire Kingdom of Hollandos. His leadership led directly to the end of the Golden Age, and the start of the Drumosan Revolt.

Queen Emma II Kroon the lost
Emma II Kroon, also known as The Lost, was the tenth ruler of Hollandos. Her grandmother Emma I, and her father Frederick I, were seen as the rulers who led the Golden Age of Hollandos. A heavy burden that Emma II desperately tried to live up to. But due to her father’s lack of leadership, and her own divisive decisions, a lot of things went south, even leading to the Drumosan Revolt.
Her life was marked by burden, stress, and hardship. As a final attempt of redemption, she willingly gave her life to close the Zevenmill, preventing from anyone ever abusing it again.

King Viktor III Kroon the strategist
Viktor III Kroon, also known as The Strategist or The Cunning, was the eleventh ruler of Hollandos. At a young age he was obsessed with magic, but after failing to receive the blessing, he turned against it. This new-found hatred seeped into his reign, where he ruled Hollandos with hatred for wizards.
Viktor was great at strategically putting the right people in the right places, so his power stretched across the entire Kingdom of Hollandos. In doing so, he made many enemies, which would eventually lead to his downfall.

King Viktor IV Kroon the comet
Viktor IV Kroon, also known as The Comet, was the twelfth ruler of Hollandos. He got magical powers at the age of ten, but had to hide it from his hateful parents. The only who knew were his boyfriend Katinko and his sister Beatrice. When his father found out, he was locked up, only to escape years later and flee for the Starfall Academy.
He lived with Katinko, and when he found out that his father not only killed himself, but also his mother and brother, he broke down. Yet, Katinko urged him to take the crown, which he did. Viktor became king and united the provinces once more to the best of his abilities. When he found out his boyfriend was behind his family’s death, he confronted Katinko. They fought in a legendary battle called the Duel of the Comets, where they both died.

Queen Beatrice I Kroon the lonely
Beatrice I Kroon, also known as The Lonely, was the thirteenth ruler of Hollandos. She was a shy but creative girl, and she grew up close to her magical brother Viktor, who helped her escape their tyrannical father to Starfall Academy. After her family died, she thrived as an artist under Viktor’s reign and married Tom, having twins, Philip and Amelia.
When Viktor was killed by his partner Katinko, Beatrice became queen, turning to grief and obsession with Viktor’s memory while her family drifted from her. She found solace only in her granddaughter Juliana, whom she named as her successor, prompting Tom to leave with their children. Beatrice spent her final years in isolation and sorrow, passing away in 330 AS.

King Philip II Kroon the fool
Philip II Kroon, also known as The Fool, was the fourteenth ruler of Hollandos. Philip and his childhood was marked by neglect and longing for his mother’s approval, while his twin Amelia resented Beatrice openly. As he grew older, he found purpose and obsession in Greta Hoffman, who guided him in every decision and convinced him to stay in the capital to eventually inherit the throne.
When Beatrice died in 330 AS, Philip became king, married Greta under the Seven Stars, and began ambitious construction projects across the kingdom, including building the city of 's-Hertstone inside a mountain. Under Greta’s influence, he destroyed the Sanctuary of the Original, inadvertently creating the Quarry of the Original, which led to widespread outrage and protests. Broken by guilt and isolation, he divorced Greta, attempted to take his own life, and eventually gave the Starcrown to his niece Juliana, retreating into exile in Vlymos, where he lived out the rest of his life in shame.

Queen Juliana II Kroon the old queen
Juliana II Kroon, also known as The Old Queen, was the fifteenth ruler of Hollandos. Juliana grew up close to her grandmother Beatrice, learning painting, magic, and the geography of Hollandos before fleeing to Vlymos during her teens. After her uncle Philip’s disastrous rule, she unexpectedly inherited the Starcrown at the age of twenty-two. As queen, she appointed new leaders, supported women in power, and worked with her mentor Balthazar to prevent the prophesied Veluwos flood. But the storm struck before his solution was ready, and most of the province was lost. Juliana spent the following decades rebuilding, strengthening the kingdom, and integrating Veluwosan survivors, all while raising her son Maurits. Her long, stable reign ended in heartbreak after Maurits’s death, leaving her too grief-stricken to continue leading.

King Frederick II Kroon the beloved
Frederick II Kroon, also known as The Beloved, is the sixteenth ruler of Hollandos. Frederick grew up obsessed with the history of Hollandos and unexpectedly became king at fourteen after losing his parents and grandmother. He tried to rule wisely, cutting city funding to save the kingdom’s finances and build major projects while keeping a charming public image. His family life seemed strong, especially with his son Viktor, until the birth of Emma pushed Amelia into a deadly spiral. After Amelia’s breakdown and death, Frederick’s grief turned into paranoia, leading him to exile Viktor. From then on, he ruled alone, clinging to the love of his people as the only thing left to him.
