The Twelve Provinces of Hollandos
Hollandos is divided into twelve sprawling provinces, each rich with their own culture, customs, and landscapes. Every one of these provinces is led by a single provincial leader, who in turn answer to the King of Hollandos.

-
Province of Drumos
The Great Lord: Zandor Pandora

The harsh conditions of Drumos make it one of the most dangerous provinces to live in. Raiders and thieves roam the unforgiving Dunes of Drumanos, which span from the Turqoi Ocean to the Death Canyon.
-
Province of Friesos
The Fox Guardian: Vixel Koraggon
Capital: Foxshard

The Chief Blacksmith: Kolos Stone
Capital: Gravos
Inhabitants: 1,250,000
Gravos is the largest province of Hollandos, spanning from the Turqoi Ocean to the rigid Bolt Sea. It’s a hotspot for minerals, rocks, and gems, with countless mines for extraction.

-
Province of Poldos
Poldos Representative: Harms van de Boer

Province of Stuppos
The Stupposbanker: Harold Stuppos
Capital: Stuppersvault

Most of the Stuppos province is swampland, with only a single road passing through it leading to the Stuppersvault. This is where Hollandosan finances are closely monitored. Despite its low population, it holds more wealth than all other provinces combined.
-
Province of Veluwos
Warden of the Valley: -
Capital: Nymanos
Inhabitants: 600
One of the smaller provinces of Hollandos, Veluwos was once the most beautiful. But everything changed when a great flood brought death and despair, killing nearly all inhabitants who didn’t flee a devastated province. Since that event, only a few dark wizards still roam these lands.

The Queens & Kings of Hollandos
The Starcrown is most important symbol of leadership and connection in Hollandos. Every year, on the 17th of November, Viktorsday, a worthy ruler is blessed by the Seven Stars. The chosen Queen or King watches over Volkaania and the Twelve Provinces of Hollandos, in particular Amstos.
-
King Viktor I Kroon
The Settler
Reign: 7 - 47 AS
King Viktor I Kroon led his people from a war-torn homeland to a new world guided by the Seven Stars. As a beloved captain turned first King of Hollandos, he founded six provinces, built Amstos, and ruled with fairness and unity. Despite personal tragedies in his final years, he remained devoted to his people until his death on the very shore where their new beginning began.
-
King Philip I Kroon
The Explorer
Reign: 47 - 111 AS
King Philip I Kroon, the Explorer and Old King, expanded Hollandos with the provinces of Veluwos and Stuppos, but his reign darkened as ambition consumed him. Once warm-hearted, he grew cold and ruthless, clashing with his people, creating the Starguard, and losing the favour of the Seven Stars. Obsessed with conquering Volkan, he died in his Prism Palace, leaving behind a divided kingdom and an unfinished legacy.
-
King Willem I Kroon
The Warmonger
Reign: 111 - 114 AS
Willem I Kroon, the Killer King, ruled briefly but brutally, losing the Starcrown’s blessing within a week. Obsessed with fulfilling his father’s dream, he launched a ruthless assault on Volkan, slaughtering and enslaving its people and forcing Isa Magma into marriage. His cruelty defined his reign until Isa ended it by killing him in his sleep, freeing her people and closing one of Hollandos’s darkest chapters.
-
Queen Juliana I Kroon
The Negotiator
Reign: 116 - 124 AS
Juliana I Kroon, the Kind Queen, united Hollandos after years of chaos and restored peace among its provinces. Travelling with her husband and daughter Kenau, she rebuilt trust with the Volkaanian people, strengthened bonds across the realm, and founded the new province Atlanos. Her reign shone with compassion and diplomacy, and she lived to see her daughter embraced by the Seven Stars before passing peacefully in Cheesehill.
-
Queen Kenau I Kroon
The Lightbringer
Reign: 124 - 145 AS
Kenau I Kroon brought real magic and faith to Hollandos. Gentle, visionary, and blessed by otherworldly presence, she founded the First Starfall and built the Starfall Academy so future generations could learn elemental magic. Wife to Nanning and mother of Viktor, Alexander and Constantine, she united religion and learning, then obsessed over bridging to the Outside. In 145 AS she succeeded in opening a portal, which began the Outsider Uprising and ended her life.
-
King Viktor II Kroon
The Brave
Reign: 145 - 147 AS
King Viktor led by example. Patient and honorable, he waited for Viktorsday to claim the Starcrown, strengthened the faith by ordering cathedrals across the kingdom, and defended Hollandos when the portal unleashed enemies. He fought bravely against the Outsider Uprising, but was betrayed and murdered by his brother Alexander at the Battle of the Crown Shores, dying as a commander who put his people first.
-
King Alexander I Kroon
The Crownbreaker
Reign: 147 - 148 AS
Jealous, cunning, and ruthless, Alexander slipped through the portal to the Outside and allied with General Bernhard Zorrega to invade Hollandos. He returned with an outsider army, massacred towns, and seized the Starcrown after killing Viktor II, ruling as an unblessed usurper who sold out his own people. His greed and broken promises to Bernhard sparked betrayal: surrounded in Amstos, Alexander was killed by Bernhard in 148 AS, ending the short, violent reign of the false king.
-
Queen Emma I Zorrega
The Outsider
Reign: 148 - 207 AS
Emma became Hollandos’ healer-queen after the chaos of the Outsider Uprising. Wise, curious and decisive, she married Constantine Kroon, founded the Council of Ten, welcomed select Outsiders, and expanded the realm with Drumos and Lillios. She rebuilt broken provinces, guarded the portal with the Zevenwatchers and the Zevenmill, and steered Hollandos into a long era of peace and integration before dying peacefully in the Prism Palace.
-
King Frederick I Kroon
The Lacking
Reign: 209 - 240 AS
Frederick inherited a flourishing Hollandos. Fond of beer, clocks and spectacle, he neglected his duties, let provincial leaders act unchecked, and tolerated brutal local lords like Oordos Maximus. His failed ruling fractured unity, ended the Golden Age, and set the stage for the Drumos Revolt; he died of a heart attack, remembered as the king who loved sport more than his own citizens.
-
Queen Emma II Kroon
The Lost
Reign: 240 - 260 AS
Burdened by her family’s legacy, Emma II tried to mend Frederick’s damage but made divisive choices that fueled unrest. Faced with the Drumosan Revolt and the Burning of Amstos, she faltered politically but ultimately chose redemption: to save Hollandos she sacrificed herself to permanently close the Zevenmill, giving her life to protect the Kingdom.
-
King Viktor III Kroon
The Strategist
Reign: 260 - 292 AS
Viktor III gained power through ruthless politicking, a faked Starcrown, and strategic appointments. His hatred of wizards unleashed the Bloody Age: purges, the reaction of Hollefort, and the murder of Magister Gaia. After poisoning provincial leaders in the infamous Provincial Spilling and spiralling into paranoia and violence, including killing his wife and son, he took his own life, leaving Hollandos scarred.
-
King Viktor IV Kroon
The Comet
Reign: 292 - 307 AS
Viktor IV was a magical, flamboyant king who survived a tyrannical father and secret magical training. He united the provinces, reformed attitudes toward wizards, and spearheaded technological growth. His reign ended tragically when he dueled his lover Katinko, who had caused his family’s deaths; both perished in the legendary Duel of the Comets.
-
Queen Beatrice I Kroon
The Lonely
Reign: 307 - 330 AS
Beatrice became queen after Viktor IV’s death. A shy, artistic ruler, she withdrew from governance, letting her husband Tom run the kingdom. Her grief over her brother’s death dominated her life, and she found solace only in her granddaughter Juliana. Beatrice spent her later years in isolation, passing away in 330 AS.
-
King Philip II Kroon
The Fool
Reign: 330 - 335 AS
Philip II ruled under the manipulations of his wife Greta. His reign was marked by grand construction projects, the destruction of Outsider legacies, and political mismanagement. Overcome with guilt and public outrage, he divorced Greta, attempted suicide, and eventually gave the Starcrown to his niece Juliana, retreating into a quiet exile.
-
Queen Juliana II Kroon
The Old Queen
Reign: 335 - 399 AS
Juliana II inherited the throne after Philip II. A gifted mage and wise ruler, she rebuilt the kingdom after disasters like the Veluwos flood, supported women in power, and integrated displaced populations. Her reign was long and stable, but ended in heartbreak when her son Maurits died, resulting in a stroke, after which couldn’t continue ruling.
-
King Frederick II Kroon
The Beloved
Reign: 399 AS - current
Frederick II became king at 14 after losing his parents. He ruled with financial carefulness and public charm, building major infrastructure and maintaining a strong image. Family tragedy struck with his wife Amelia’s breakdown and the exile of his son Viktor, leaving Frederick increasingly isolated and reliant on the love of his people as a isolated ruler.
The Starfall Academy
This magical academy was created by Queen Kenau I Kroon in the year 124 AS. It is located in the forests of Zeelos, and allows for Hollandosan people to receive the blessing of magic. Once they do, these wizards will learn about their new found power in the seven trees of the Starfall Academy.
