Hollandos is a fun YA fantasy. The main character is not perfect but very relatable. There are many recognizable places in the book since it is similar to the Netherlands. Which I found enjoyable.

I loved it, bente is an amazing, strong, and brave girl bringing out suchs power. (Love her girlfriend so much as well) im so happy with the book. The story is amazing and not slow/ to fast at all for me. As a dyslexic person it was easy to read. Cant wait for the rest of the serie🫶

If you look for an easy read in a quirky magical world where young characters believe in themselves while struggling with real and mental monsters, I can recommend this book. Easy entry into fantasy for young teens with a lot of interesting Dutch culture woven into the magical world.

This was exactly the kind of book I expected AND hoped it to be! From the very start this book is written like a great adventure. Bente hears a cry for help and together with three of her friends she ends up in Hollandos. The Netherlands, but with knights, magic, and volcanoes.

Its a good story. Although the beginning of the book was a little difficult to get through, after that it was packed with action. The epiloque left me confused and waiting for the next book to come out

The key to enjoying the book is to let go of the YA expectations and approach it more as a middle-grade experience.
My first hint should have been the font. Instead of giving off a more “grown-up” YA vibe, it’s more rounded and whimsical, like a font in a children’s book.

The story about 4 strong young people, Bente is hearing a voice; you must have hollandos. If she follows the voice, she enters the magical new world. Her girlfriend Luna, Luna her sister Stars and Stars boyfriend Maxime, think Bente disappeared and going to search for her... Together in a new world with new abilities and Magic, they will meet new friends and having a big adventure together. You cant do big things an your own, you need your friends!!
